Everyone calls her my mini-me but I wish I was this beautiful when I was in highschool!

Our Engagement

I always love hearing stories of how people got engaged so I thought I'd share our story.

The 1st of July was like a Wednesday I think? Anyway, on that day I stopped over at Christian's house after work so we could go out to dinner, shop, etc. As we were getting into his car he started complaining about how his cargo shorts didn't match his shirt and I assured him that no one would notice. I was very - insanely - hungry that day and didn't want him to take the time to run back into the house. On our way to our favorite restaurant I started to get sick, from lack of nourishment. With about a mile to go we got caught in traffic then Christian started mentioning that the sky looked great today and that since he accidentally left his camera equipment in the car, he should take a photo of an old mill he's been wanting to shoot for-like-ever. I looked outside and couldn't figure out why the cloudy, overcast sky was appealing but I let it go.

To make an even longer story short(er); Christian was sneaky and started to setup his shot then turned the camera on me and said we should take a picture of us... he set the timer, ran over, pulled a little box from his cargo pocket, got down... this was the resulting photo. I am so thankful that we have a photo from the exact moment he proposed.

I freaked out... a little ;)

He even photographed the ring for me ahead of time! So sweet...
